Changan
From AutocadeChang’an began life making military equipment, but began automobile manufacture by assembling a Jeep CJ5 in 1958. Chang’an became a Suzuki licensee in the 1980s, and was well known for its early Alto models; it also has a venture with Ford. Chang’an branched into its own models in the 2000s, commissioning I.DE.A for their designs. The name was later formally romanized as Changan, though many sources in the 2000s retained the apostrophe.
