Baojun 560. 2015 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, 1798 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Front-drive SUV from GM’s budget brand in China, but equipped with airbags, stability control and reverse camera, musts for the sector. Cab-forward looks helped increase interior space. Long wheelbase of 2,750 mm, beaten only by Zotye T600 (2013–18) among local brands. GM claimed the 560 had a Lotus chassis and designed to obtain five stars in C-NCAP. Despite the Lotus tuning, the suspension was soft, with some body roll and pronounced understeer. Rugged 1·8, nothing that special under the bonnet, but mated well to five-speed Aisin manual.
