F/F, F/A, 1595 cm³ petrol, 1896, 1968 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1781, 1984 cm³ petrol, 1968 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 3123 cm³ petrol, 2698, 2967 cm³ diesel (V6 DOHC), 4163 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Extensively revised B6, with trade-mark full-frame grille and RS4 model developing 420 PS. Attractive, less ostentatious than rival BMW 3er-Reihe, but dynamically still a step below its Bavarian rival. Interior one of the best in the class. Estate called Avant. Became SEAT Exeo after this run as production lines moved to Spain.
