From AutocadeAlpine Renault A310. 1971–85 (prod. 2,334 1·6, 9,276 V6). 2-door coupé. R/R, 1605, 1647 cm³ (I4 OHV), 2664, 2849 cm³ (V6 OHC). Larger (with real 2+2 seating), more stylish departure from traditional Alpine Renaults, but similar formula: engine out back, steel backbone chassis, all-independent suspension, fibreglass body. Initially with 1·6 four from Renault 16; V6 from 1976, along with a restyle. Tail-out handling, thanks to engine location, and not the best quality initially, hurting sales—as did fuel crisis in 1973–4. V6 came at the right time and gave Alpine a performance champion, reaching 220 km/h. GT Boulogne special edition (1982) had larger V6.
