From Autocade
Latest revision as of 01:57, 4 January 2014One of the more contested names in recent automotive history. The original AC Cobras, or Shelby Cobras, were from the 1960s: Carroll Shelby put Ford V8s into AC Ace bodyshells. Since the Cobras left production, there were attempts to revive them, notably under Autokraft, who eventually secured both the AC and Cobra names for its cars in the 1980s. After Autokraft went bust, a new company took over in the mid-1990s, continuing Cobra Mk IV production into the early 2000s.
