Toyota Corolla II (L50). 1994–9 (prod. n/a). 3-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 1331, 1497 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 1453 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Cost-cutting model on carryover platform, after Toyota got stung with overdeveloping the L40 during the bubble economy. Dual SRS airbags and ABS standard from 1996. Minor interior and safety upgrades in 1997, but eventually usurped by the Vitz.
