2011 SEAT León.jpg

SEAT León (1P). 2005–12 (prod. n/a). 5-door saloon. F/F, 1198, 1595 cm³ petrol, 1896, 1968 cm³ diesel, 1595 cm³ LPG (I4 OHC), 1390, 1798, 1984 cm³ petrol, 1598, 1968 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Sporty, Volkswagen Golf V-based hatchback. Characterized by concealed rear-door handles and vertically parked windscreen wipers. Continued the SEAT look of the mid-2000s began by the Altea, but appearing lower and more purposeful here. Wildest hot hatch models are the Cupra and Cupra R, the latter developing 265 PS. Excellent value, logical interior layout thanks to VW base, fully independent rear suspension (though not best-in-class handling); on the other hand, interior appears dull by comparison with Golf and rivals.

Manufacturing location: Martorell, Cataluña, Spain

Marque: SEAT | Model: SEAT León | Predecessor: SEAT León (1M) | Successor: SEAT León (5F)
