Large five-door car from Renault, originally replacing 25. Did not make much of a dent in the Germans’ share of the market, and spurred Renault to create a far more interesting successor in the form of the Vel Satis. Large five-door car from Renault, originally replacing 25. Did not make much of a dent in the Germans’ share of the market, and spurred Renault to create a far more interesting successor in the form of the Vel Satis. The nameplate was later used for an export version of the Nissan Cefiro (J31)-based Samsung SM5 (A34R).
