Renault’s response to the small convertibles doing good business in the US, though it never really took off there. Named for the state in which a Renault dealers’ convention took place. Unveiled at Paris in 1958, exported to the US as Caravelle after its 1959 New York Motor Show début. Frua-styled 2+2 roadster with optional hardtop, built on the Renault Dauphine platform and using the Dauphine Gordini engine. Three-speed gearbox, four-speed optional, drum brakes front and rear, 6 V electrics.
