Nissan Skyline Coupé.jpg

Nissan Skyline (C110/GC110/KPGC110). 1972–7 (prod. 730,000 approx.). 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé, 5-door wagon. F/R, 1593, 1595, 1770, 1815 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1998, 2393 cm³ (I6 OHC). Skyline embraces its sporting reputation, with a sleek range styled by Shinichiro Sakurai, featuring a fastback coupé, including a GT-R with a very limited run due to the fuel crisis. Odd station wagon without a third window, despite better equipped, non-utilitarian versions. Shared platform with Nissan Laurel (C130). Very successful generation, to many the quintessential Skyline. Short- and long-nose variants. Prince G-series fours initially. Exports featured 2·4-litre model, dubbed Datsun 240K (short-nose 180K also sold). Mid-term changes 1975, with L-series four-cylinder engines replacing Prince units.

Manufacturing location: Musashimurayama, Tokyo, Japan

Marque: Nissan | Model: Nissan Skyline | Predecessor: Nissan Skyline (C10) | Successor: Nissan Skyline (C210)
