Mitsubishi Sigma (1980–2)
From AutocadeMitsubishi Sigma (GH). 1980–2 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 1597, 1995, 2555 cm³ (4 cyl. OHC). Rebadged Chrysler Sigma (an Australianized version of the Mitsubishi Galant Σ (A120)), reflecting Mitsubishi’s ownership of the old Chrysler Australia operations. Much the same as before, but notable for Turbo model, Australia’s first turbocharged production car, with the Garrett turbocharger helping get 116 kW from the two-litre engine. Continued to February 1982, two years after this model had been superseded in Japan.
