Lincoln Town Car. 1990–7 (prod. unknown). 4-door sedan. F/R, 4601 cm³ (V8 OHC), 4949 cm³ (V8 OHV). Restyled version of old body-on-frame full-size Lincoln, with corners rounded off. Remarkably, won a Motor Trend Car of the Year award, despite the dinosaur formula. Driver and passenger air bags from 1990. Minor facelifts in 1993 and 1995, with interior revamp in 1995. Poor fuel economy as expected, excessive body roll and too-soft ride, with negative consequences on handling. Huge trunk; poor rearward visibility with the large D-pillars.
