The Jianghuai Auto Works in Anhui commenced truck production in 1969, and remained exclusively in truck and bus manufacture till the 21st century, including the licensing of Hyundai technology. Now JAC, for Jianghuai Automobile Group Corporation Ltd., SUV manufacture began in 2006, and cars were shown at various shows from around that time. Car sales began 2009.
