1992 Ford Crown Victoria.jpg

Ford Crown Victoria (EN114). 1992–7 (prod. 607,097). 4-door sedan. F/R, 4601 cm³ (V8 OHC). Ford’s aero look adapted to the full-size Panther platform, with Taurus-like appearance. LTD nameplate consigned to history for North America. Cd fell from 0,42 to 0,34. Big change under the skin was the 4·6 OHC V8. Lighter, with driver airbag and optional ABS and traction control. Grille-less look not liked, and a fake grille added for 1993. Mid-term changes in 1995, with new grille, taillights and dashboard. Traditional American motoring, favoured by older buyers.

Manufacturing location: St Thomas, Ontario, Canada

Marque: Ford | Model: Ford Crown Victoria | Predecessor: Ford LTD Crown Victoria | Successor: Ford Crown Victoria (1998–2012)

q.v. Mercury Grand Marquis (1992–2011)
