Daewoo’s Lacetti replaced the underwhelming Nubira, and though the car had fairly appealing, contemporary styling from Pininfarina (sedan and wagon) and ItalDesign (hatchback), it was also dynamically average. Usually sold as a cheap car with a variety of names—it bore Buick, Suzuki, Chevrolet, Holden and Daewoo marques. A second-generation model was shown first as a Chevrolet at the 2008 Paris salon, built in the US as well as Korea. With the demise of the Daewoo marque, subsequent Korean models bore the Chevrolet Cruze name.

Marque: Daewoo | Predecessors: Daewoo Nubira, Chevrolet Cobalt, Opel Astra G | Successor: Chevrolet Cruze
