F/R, 6761 cm³ (V8 OHV). All-new big Bentley, first developed under Volkswagen’s watch, replacing Arnage-derived models. Owed nothing to Volkswagen platforms. New engine, with twin turbos, retaining nearly the same capacity, mated to new eight-speed gearbox. Revived old Mulsanne name from 1980 models. Shown in 2009, with first models going on sale mid-2010. Drove well, with firmer suspension than rival at Rolls-Royce and slightly more wind noise. Final 30 were a limited edition, the 6.75 Edition by Mulliner. Not directly replaced as consumer tastes shifted.
Marque: Bentley | Model: Bentley Mulsanne | Predecessor: Bentley Arnage
