Austin Mini Mk II. 1967–70 (prod. 153,900 saloon, 23,500 Traveller, 7,225 Cooper, 3,640 Cooper S). 2-door saloon, 2-door estate (plus two rear doors). F/F, 848, 998, 1275 cm³ (I4 OHV). Mk II follow-up to Alec Issigonis’s Mini saw some improvements, e.g. new front grille, larger rear window and new rear lights. Cooper received an all-synchromesh gearbox for 1968. Still no wind-up windows in UK—that was left till Mk III, though Australian Morris Minis have had them since 1964 and South African models since 1967.
