BYD Qin (比亞迪秦/比亚迪秦). 2013 to date (prod. n/a). F/F, 1497 cm³ petrol, 13 kWh–1497 cm³ electric–petrol hybrid (I4 DOHC), 47, 53·1, 53·56, 61 kWh electric. A more aggressively styled version of the BYD Surui, and priced quite a bit higher thanks to its plug-in hybrid system. Successor to the F3DM hybrid. Turbo four developing 113 kW, mated to the hybrid drivetrain initially. EV from 2016, increase in capacity and range in 2018; intermediate 53·1 kWh model from 2020, increased slightly to 53·56 kWh in 2021; 61 kWh only in 2024. EV only from 2019, when the range was facelifted. Still resembling a tricked-out Toyota Corolla (E150). Facelift in 2021.
