A BYD with a name, rather an alphanumeric designation, still looking like a Toyota Corolla clone in its first generation, though equipped with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. A second generation from 2018 finally saw BYD depart from its copying, in favour of something fresher and original. A new engine and hybrid system appeared with the Qin Plus in 2021. The third generation, badged Qin L, was launched in 2024.
