LED dashboard from Senator A2 available on upscale models. Commodore absorbed into Rekord range c. 1987. Delta, the South African company that had taken on GM’s assets, lacked the budget to retool for Omega A, and revamped the Rekord E2 in 1988, bringing in various Omega components, including the 2·0 OHC engine. Further revisions in 1991, with 3·8-litre OHV sourced from Holden (a Buick design) with CD and GSi models, seats from Senator B, and dashboard from RHD versions of Senator A.
