Zhonghua (中華/中华) H220. 2013 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door sedan. F/F, 1498 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Giugiaro-designed hatchback complement to three-box H230 sedan. Aimed at younger buyers. More sporty interior, though not up to that of foreign marques’ offerings’. Same wheelbase as sedan, so roomy for the segment, and rear headroom actually improved due to the hatchback shape. Middle of the road for performance, with insufficient low-end torque, but direct, light steering and a comfortable ride. Rivalled Chevrolet Sail (2010–14). Chinese production to 2016.
