Toyota Verossa (X110/GX110/JZX110/GX115). 2001–4 (prod. 26,054). 4-door sedan. F/R, F/A, 1988, 2492 cm³ (I6 DOHC). Overstyled successor to Chaser and Cresta, combining the sportiness of the former and the luxury of the latter. Yamaha-tuned turbo 2·5 could develop 300 PS. Minor changes in 2003. Buyers didn’t take to the supposedly European-inspired styling, and the Verossa was cancelled after a short run.
