Eleventh-generation Corolla, with looks from Furia show car. Unrelated to E160 model, which was a Vitz-based sedan; E170 much larger and aimed at export markets, with wheelbase up 100 mm from E150. North American models announced first on June 6, 2013; European model, announced the day after, differed mostly outside with its front-end treatment. Media felt E170 looked smarter, with better interior quality, but engines were closely related to the previous model’s, with only slight improvements on performance and emissions.
