Toyota Avalon (XX40). 2013–18 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 2493 cm³ petrol–electric hybrid (I4 DOHC), 3456 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Launched 2012 for 2013 model year. Same wheelbase as before, but slightly shorter and lower, and lighter than its predecessor. More responsive handling, with new stabilizer bars, and improvements to V6, while retaining the excellent ride of previous models. Much better resolved styling, losing the dullness of the last three generations, with shades of the Ford Fusion (CD391). Far more lavish inside. Exports to Korea from 2013.
