Low Euro NCAP safety rating (three stars). Ladder frame evolved from third-generation Jimny. Particularly capable off-road, though more refined on-road than predecessor. JB64W denoted domestic model, with turbocharged 0·7, and four-wheel-drive mechanism back to its original mechanical type. Some safety equipment, including braking assist and lane-departure warning. Kei car dimensions. JB74, the Jimny Sierra, was for export, with flares taking the car beyond its kei dimensions, and equipped with a 1·5-litre unit. Shorter and wider than previous Sierra.
