Simca Aronde P60/Simca Aronde Rush. 1958–63 (prod. 455,000 approx.). 4-door saloon, 3- and 5-door estate, 2-door hardtop coupé. F/R, 1090, 1290 cm³ (I4 OHV). P for personnalisation and Poissy, and 60 for the decade ahead. Carryover platform but refreshed styling with lower roofline, and a wider range. The 1·3 could be had with three power outputs. Élysée was the basic saloon, complemented by Grand Large coupé, with 48 hp; Montlhéry and Monaco were the saloon and coupé with higher compression (57 hp); carryover estate had 45 hp. Downmarket 1·1 models (Deluxe 6 and Étoile 6) got the P60 body from October 1959, and complemented by a downmarket Étoile 7 with the 1·3. New estate body did not arrive till 1960 with the Ranch (new front end, old rear end). New Rush engine, with five-bearing crankshaft, from October 1960, with same capacity as Flash 1·3, at which point the cars were officially the Aronde Rush, though the P60 code remained in colloquial use. A high-output Rush Super M with 70 PS appeared in September 1961 for the Montlhéry Spéciale and Monaco Spéciale. Australian production (from 1959) saw the addition of a five-door estate.
