SAIPA
From AutocadeOriginally established as the Citroën licensee in Iran (Société anonyme iranienne de production des automobiles Citroën, or SAIPAC, until 1975, when it became Société anonyme iranienne de production automobile), SAIPA later built the Renault 5 and other models under licence. SAIPA commenced its relationship with Kia in 1993, and makes various models based on the original Kia Pride. It acquired Zamyad, the licensees for the Nissan Junior pick-up, in 1998, and a majority stake in Pars Khodro in 2000.
