Reliant Scimitar GTE (SE6). 1976 (prod. 543). 3-door estate. F/R, 2994 cm³ (V6 OHV). GTE gets a longer wheelbase and more width, along with a subtle restyle to bring it in to the mid-1970s properly. Larger headlights, more lavish standard equipment, and softer ride, as Reliant aimed more upmarket. However, the reception to the softened GTE was not all positive, leading to hurried revisions in the shape of the SE6a.
