Chunky second model in Volvo’s spinoff Polestar range, stylistically related to the Volvo XC40 but with the design tweaked to differentiate it from the core brand. (The roots are in Volvo’s Concept 40.2.) On the same CMA platform. Shown at Genève 2019. Tall body, with driving position to match. Minimalist interior with more recycled materials and fewer harmful plastics. Heavier than Tesla Model 3, a main rival, due to safety, according to Volvo. Decent grip and body control, though steering over-assisted.
