Second Malaysian car maker, after Proton, with headquarters in Selangor. Perodua is a contraction of Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua Berhad, literally the Second Automobile Manufacturer Ltd. Mainly targets domestic market, with limited exports. Daihatsu is a shareholder, which explains why much of its range is of licensed Daihatsu models. Most of its range consists of smaller vehicles.
