Opel Olympia A
From AutocadeOpel Olympia. 1967–70 (prod. 80,637). 2- and 4-door fastback saloon, 2-door coupé. F/R, 1078 cm³ (I4 OHV), 1492, 1698, 1879 cm³ (I4 CIH). Opel revives the Olympia name for an upscale version of the Kadett B, bridging the gap between that model and the larger Rekord. Narrower range of engines, and 1·5 for export. Fancier chrome-plated grille and interior, but same sheetmetal as Kadett. Often specified with a vinyl roof which later proved to be a rust trap. Deleted when the Ascona appeared.
