Opel Corsa (G2J0/P2J0). 2019 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door saloon. F/F, 1199 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 1499 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 46 kWh electric. First all-new car from Opel under PSA ownership, on a Peugeot 208 (P21) (CMP) platform, though originally developed on a GM platform and codenamed 9BJO, then related to the Buick Excelle (2018–23). Extremely shortened development programme as Opel engineers adapted a virtually finished design on to CMP. Longer and lighter than outgoing model, wheelbase up 28 mm. More engaging behind the wheel than predecessor, though with light steering. Sportier and better controlled than 208. Good ride overall. Electric model dubbed Corsa-e. Facelift to Vizor grille in 2023.
