Nissan March/Nissan Micra (K12/E11A). 2002–10 (prod. n/a). 3- and 5-door sedan, 2-door coupé–cabriolet. F/F, F/A, 998, 1240, 1386, 1498, 1598 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 1461 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Joint development with Renault on its B platform, with a 70 mm longer wheelbase and more inventive, original “frog-eye” looks. Luggage space and rear accommodation not ideal due to sloping rear, but it won a design award from MITI at launch. A hit, with initial sales exceeding projections. Good safety equipment and ride. Minor facelift in 2007 kept the cheeky looks. Quality issues with UK models, according to Honest John.
