Mid-sized SUV from Mitsubishi, though the Outlander name first adorned an export-market version of the Airtrek. Smaller than its Japanese rivals, it proved only moderately successful. The Outlander itself, meanwhile, was better designed and a more successful assault on the SUV market, with two OEM versions for Peugeot–Citroën.
