Mitsubishi 500
From AutocadeMitsubishi 500 (A10/A11). 1960–2 (prod. n/a). 2-door sedan. R/R, 493, 594 cm³ (I2 OHV). Mitsubishi’s first postwar car, built by Shin Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Basic, utilitarian small car with monocoque, 20-litre fuel tank and a 490 kg kerb weight. Suicide doors. Single Solex carburettor at launch, with air-cooled OHV, developing 21 PS at 5,000 rpm. Three-speed manual only. Top speed was 90 km/h. Larger engine from 1961 for Super Deluxe model, though the model name remained 500.
