Mercury Capri
From AutocadeThe Mercury Capri nameplate first emerged as a deluxe version of the intermediate line, before it wound up on an imported line of coupés from Ford of Germany. These were the Mk I and II Ford Capris, with the Capri lettering replacing the Ford on the bonnets, though technically, they were not Mercurys, just Capris sold through Lincoln–Mercury dealers. They were replaced by a Mercury version of the Ford Mustang for the 1979 model year, before an Australian-built compact convertible took the nameplate in 1988.
