More premium-looking (with styling inspired by MG E-motion concept) 6 débuted in late 2017 with sales beginning that November. Related to the Roewe i6 (2016–), right down to the 2,715 mm wheelbase; shared its SGE 20T 1·5-litre engine, developing 169 PS (124 kW), maximum torque at 250 Nm, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. New design language similar to MG ZS Mk III SUV. Plug-in hybrid from 2018 with three-cylinder unit; replaced by four-cylinder in 2019, and more powerful Trophy model in 2020. More powerful 181 PS petrol model from 2020, supplanting the original in 2021. Xpower PHEV from 2021.
