Kia K7 (YG). 2016 to date (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 2199 cm³ diesel, 2359 cm³ petrol, 2359 cm³ petrol–electric hybrid (I4 DOHC), 2999 cm³ LPG, 3342 cm³ petrol (V6 DOHC). Second-generation K7 evolves earlier themes, but with a stiffer bodyshell and longer wheelbase. Comfortable ride, very quiet, decent performance; well designed eight-speed automatic. Handling not its strong suit, and the sport mode gives the steering more weight without any change in the suspension. Much better interior, addressing previous model’s concerns, with good accommodation at the back. Fuel economy proved to be K7’s main drawback with the V6. Exported as Cadenza.
