Geely New Emgrand (吉利帝豪). 2014–21 (prod. n/a). 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, 1299, 1498 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 45·3 kWh electric. Facelifted version of Emgrand EC7, now under the Geely brand, and exported as Geely Emgrand 7. Base models with 1·5, developing 80 kW, while new 1·3 turbo delivered 98 kW, though it lacked direct injection. The interior, the EC7’s weak point, slightly improved with more chrome and a big central screen, but the plastics remain harsh. Handling and ride not up to scratch, with semi-independent rear torsion beams. EV model with 95 kW power output and new Geely grille from the Borui launched in 2015 for 2016 model year.
