GMC Jimmy (1995–2005)
From AutocadeGMC Jimmy. 1995–2005 (prod. n/a). 3- and 5-door SUV. F/R, F/A, 4300 cm³ (V6 OHV). Corporate twin to the Chevrolet Blazer (1995–2011) based around the revamped GMC Sonoma. Considered a strong entry when new, with different suspension packages depending on the buyer’s needs. Pushed more upmarket in 1997 as GM merged GMC with Pontiac. Minor refresh for 1998. By 2000, considered dated, though a Diamond Edition, commemorating 30 years of the Jimmy nameplate, piled on the standard equipment; it continued for 2001. Deleted in US and México after 2001, but continued in Canada to 2005. Related to GMC Envoy (1998–2000).
