GAC Trumpchi GA8. 2016–23 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 1796, 1799, 1991 cm³ (I4 DOHC). GAC’s flagship sedan, loaded with standard equipment, and praised for its quality at launch by Chinese media. Wheelbase at 2,907 mm, targeting luxury buyers and rivalling the likes of the Dongfeng A9. Reversing camera resolution not the best, but otherwise properly equipped. Decent power from second-generation engines, finally abandoning the Alfa Romeo Twin Spark units. Very good braking and smooth ride and handling (thanks to rear multi-link suspension), but steering on the light side. Mid-term refresh in 2020.
