Ford Taurus. 1992–5 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/F, 2987, 3797 cm³ (V6 OHV), 2986, 3191 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Revised version of successful original, building on its strengths. Not a fully new model, but enough to keep Ford at the top of the sales’ charts, though Japanese rivals caught up in terms of engine refinement and interior noise. Still a fairly dependable car. Freshened interior for 1992. Larger engine for automatic SHOs for 1993.
