Ford Explorer Sport Trac (U251). 2007–10 (prod. n/a). 4-door pickup truck. F/R, F/A, 3958 cm³ (V6 OHC), 4942 cm³ (V8 OHC). Same formula as the first Sport Trac: take the Explorer, lengthen the wheelbase, and put a four-door pick-up body on it. Longer wheelbase than previous generation, now at 130½ in, and fully independent suspension, making it more civilized to drive, with reasonable ride and handling. Roomy and comfortable interior, though dated in design. Excellent for towing, though V6 somewhat weak, and both engines thirsty.
