Three unrelated cars: the South African edition of the Hillman Avenger in the 1970s; then an elegant, competent Mitsubishi Galant-based coupé first wore the Dodge Avenger name Stateside. Dodge revived the name for the 2008 model year, for a disappointing but stylistically distinctive sedan.
