DAF Daffodil. 1961–7 (prod. 132,919). 2-door saloon, 3-door estate. F/R, 746 cm³ (F2 OHV). First revisions to the original DAF, with more angular body work and a larger flat twin, developing 30 PS. Referred to as DAF 30 in some markets. Revisions to Daffodil to Type 31 in 1963, with more angular roof and more basic equipment; this model absorbed the de-contented 750 line. In 1965, DAF’s basic car was revised again to Type 32 by Michelotti, with some limited changes to the bodywork, but mechanically it was identical to its predecessor. Slightly higher bonnet and boot lid. Daffodil S denoted tuned engine and front disc brakes. Pick-up truck and van also available, not covered here.
