2014 Citroën C4 Cactus.jpg

Citroën C4 Cactus. 2014 to date (prod. 212,000 to February 2017). 5-door saloon. F/F, 999, 1198 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 1560 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Based on the 2007 C-Cactus show car. Unusual and very light (965 kg) crossover on the C3 platform, rather than the larger C4 one. Air-filled panels on the side (Airbumps) to protect the car from minor bumps. HybridAir system uses pressurized nitrogen to drive an auxiliary hydraulic motor. Simple interior, with no rev counter or centre console, but a simple touch-screen; automatics have no gear lever. In 2017, Cactus was facelifted and unconvincingly marketed as a berline (saloon), with its Airbumps removed. Spanish production to May 2020.

Manufacturing locations: Villaverde, Madrid, Spain; Porto Real, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Marque: Citroën | Model: Citroën C4 | Predecessor: Citroën C4 (2010–) | Successor: Citroën C4 (2020–)
