Chrysler Aspen. 2007–9 (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/R, F/A, 4701 cm³ (V8 OHC), 5654 cm³ petrol, 5654 cm³ petrol–electric hybrid (V8 OHV). Chrysler’s first SUV a posh version of Dodge Dakota (2004–9), débuting upgrades for both model lines. V8s only, with plush ride and the expected body roll from the height. Vague steering. Fairly quiet but despite extra equipment over Dakota, still basic inside without the optional equipment packages. Poor gas mileage with larger Hemi V8, which gained cylinder deactivation in 2009 to improve things. Hybrid expensive when new.
