Chevrolet Impala. 1994–6 (prod. 69,768). 4-door sedan. F/R, 5733 cm³ (V8 OHV). The last rear-drive Impala, available only as an SS. Particularly well regarded on launch, available only in black for the first year and with no brightwork on the body; 300 hp LT1 engine, tuned shocks and coils, limited-slip differential. Essentially a civilian version of the Chevrolet Caprice police package.
