Cadillac Sedan de Ville/Cadillac Coupé de Ville (C-body). 1985–8 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé. F/F, 4087, 4467 cm³ petrol, 4310 cm³ diesel (V8 OHV). Downsized C-body switched to front-wheel drive, with better fuel economy and space efficiency (interior room was comparable to the previous model), but buyers resisted them as the cars’ more modern styling lacked the presence of their predecessors. Refresh in 1987 saw subtle “fins”, taillights extending further back; V8 enlarged in 1988.
