Beijing X3. 2019 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, 1499 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Much the same formula as superseded Senova X35, retaining 2,570 mm wheelbase, but with body updated to Beijing’s ‘Offspace’ design language. Originally shown as second-generation Senova X35, and even referred to by its name, Zhida (the third Zhi- car from BAIC), but ultimately released and badged as Beijing X3 a month later, after BAIC decided to phase out the Senova marque. Lower base price than X35, but top-spec models were more expensive. Improved interior with “floating” infotainment screen, and more up-to-date tech.
